This episode marks the two hundredth in the current series. We are also two years into the second century of recorded jazz. My jazz lifetime began in the mid-1970s, not 1917. Over the course of the next few episodes we will explore some of the recordings that had a personal impact either as ones I played in various bands or celebrated some aspect of musical creativity that especially relevant at the time.
